At the Threshold: Lindsay D’Amour Williams and the Art of the In-Between

A recent feature in Desert Exposure explores Lindsay D’Amour Williams’ evolving practice—tracing her movement between mysticism, landscape, and the space where perception begins to shift.

I was recently featured in Desert Exposure in an article titled At the Threshold: Lindsay D. Williams and the Art of the In-Between. The piece reflects on my current body of work and the broader shift I’ve been moving through which is away from fixed imagery and toward a more fluid, perceptual, and intuitive approach.

It traces a longer arc through my background, influences, and the environments that continue to shape how the work emerges. Landscape, in particular, is an active force and something that informs the structure, energy, and direction of each piece.

The article also touches on the role of the unseen in my process, and the space between clarity and ambiguity where much of the work now exists.

This feature feels like an honest reflection of a transition that has been unfolding for some time…one that is less about defining the work, and more about allowing it to remain open.
