A Conversation on Mysticism, Land, and Creative Process

I recently sat down with Sabrina Scott for an episode of The Heal and Harm Show: a conversation that moves through my current work, the evolution of Desert Illuminations Tarot, and the shift I’ve been moving through as an artist.

We originally connected through my tarot work and shared philosophy, which made this exchange feel especially full circle. What followed was a wide-ranging discussion.

We spoke about landscape as an active force in the work. Something that informs perception, material, and meaning. We also explored the role of the unseen in art-making, and how intuitive and environmental awareness shape the direction of a piece.

The conversation moves into more complex territory as well such as the realities within spiritual and creative communities, the tension between authenticity and visibility, and the lived experience behind artistic identity—particularly in contrast to more public-facing work from earlier chapters of my career.

Sabrina Scott is an author, illustrator, and teacher whose work has been featured in NYLON, VICE, and BBC. Her approach to these conversations creates space for depth, nuance, and honesty.

This interview marks an intentional emergence and one that reflects where my work is now, and where it is moving.
