Rituals: The Small Things That Keep Us Together

The same coffee mug every morning, the lipstick you reach for before leaving the house, the record you always play when no one else is around, or the chair you always sit in. The objects themselves aren't magical but what gives them meaning is repetition.

Over time they absorb pieces of us. They witness heartbreak, celebration, loneliness, routine, and joy. Eventually they become something more than possessions. They become anchors.

When I created Rituals I was thinking of the types of rituals that happen when no one is watching.

I've always been fascinated by the way ordinary objects begin to carry emotional weight. and how these things become part of the architecture of our lives.

This painting asks a simple question: What objects have become sacred simply because they've stayed with you?
